Liver Cleansing Smoothie

This liver cleansing smoothie recipe offers a simple, delicious way to nourish your liver. Foods that are particularly beneficial are beets, collard greens, kale, parsley and lemon are just some of the examples. In general, diets rich in whole plant foods are much easier on the liver than fatty animal foods.

2 loose cups of kale (with the stems and ribs removed)

¼ cup parsley

1 small beet (scrubbed and quartered)

1 apple (core and seeds removed)

1 lemon (peeled)

½” chunk of fresh ginger

1 Tbsp chia seeds

1 1/2 Water (Or any other liquid of your choice)
