Hi, my name is Edit and I am a Holistic Nutrition Practitioner supporting better hormonal health and wellness for women. Helping you feel your absolute best is my number one priority and showing you how to eat healthily in a way that supports your hormones is my passion.

As Hippocrates said many moons ago, “Let food be thy medicine, medicine be thy food.” This simple sentence has a particularly deep meaning to me. Keep reading to find out why!

From Pharmaceuticals to Holistic Nutrition

Everyone has a story, right?  I am no exception to this rule.  I worked in the medical industry for over a decade.  I am grateful for the experiences I had during that time.  The field was a perfect fit for someone as analytical as I am … I learned about the most common diseases that devastate the lives of millions of people today.  I learned how to interpret scientific studies, and mastered the ins and outs of our healthcare system.  But the thing that I’m most grateful for is the profound understanding of what modern medicine can and cannot do.

Sadly enough, doctors receive little to no education in medical schools about nutrition, and once practicing, they are not incentivized to prevent chronic diseases.  People are led to believe that pharmaceuticals are the only credible solutions to health conditions and that there is a “pill for every ill”.

Through my own health journey, I experienced the healing power of foods, and the innate ability of my body to heal itself.  Naturally, I wanted to know more.  My desire to understand the role that nutrition plays in health, got stronger and stronger every day.

After a decade of success, I left my career behind and went back to school to become a Holistic Nutritionist.  My personal fulfillment was more important than money and a title.  I knew with all my heart that my experience and efforts would be much better used in a way that would help others, which I have always had a passion for.

Why Holistic Nutrition?

I believe that when we learn to embrace the laws of nature, when we give our body, mind, and spirit what they need, total wellbeing can be achieved.  Optimum nutrition is the foundation of good health.

You cannot expect to be in fantastic health while eating lifeless foods and drinking sodas by the gallon.  That part is not hard to figure out.  The tricky part is to know what optimum nutrition really looks like for you.  It takes a holistic approach to peel back the layers and uncover the root causes of your symptoms.

Is it sugar that’s getting you sick and tired?  Is salt good for you?  What about animal protein? Dairy?  Should you eat vegan, paleo, or keto? What about diets like WeightWatchers, Atkins, or hundreds of others?  Trust me, I can relate to your frustration.  This is precisely why I set out to demystify “disease” and simplify health for all of you ladies ready to take your life back and feel your best again.

Why Hormone Imbalance?

Women’s hormone health remains to be one of the biggest mysteries of medical science today.  We are not taught to listen to our bodies; instead, we are encouraged to cover up or ignore our hormonal symptoms.  We feel powerless and at the mercy of our faulty bodies with no light at the end of the tunnel.  This lack of understanding leaves millions of women to struggle with hypothyroidism, PCOS, anxiety, weight gain, infertility, and more.

For many years, I personally experienced the painful symptoms caused by imbalanced hormones.  I suffered greatly and in silence.  Quite honestly, I had no idea that my heavy periods, excruciatingly painful cramps, moodiness, acne, major fatigue, and other raging symptoms were not normal.  After all, most of my friends complained of similar problems.  And as you well know, where the pain is shared by many, pain becomes the norm.

Years later, I developed thyroid problems.  First, they became overactive, then months later, underactive.  Lucky me, I got to experience symptoms of both ends of the spectrum, such as racing heart, hair loss, extreme fatigue, dizzy spells, and many more.  I was desperate as I could barely function.

It is only due to my own inquisitive nature and tireless research that I was able to put the puzzle pieces together and rebuild my health.  It took me years because I did it alone.  You don’t have to do it alone.  I’m here to support you.

Achieving total wellness takes work, and even though this task may seem daunting at times, with the right support, you can achieve your health goals.  Whatever health challenges you may be facing today, optimizing your nutrition is the first step you should take on your path to improved health.

Are you ready to start on this journey towards a happier, healthier life?

Health, Joy & Happiness,

Edit
